Lynnwood High Tri-M raised $9,700 for food bank

Thank you all for supporting the Lynnwood High School Tri-M Virtual Fundraiser for The Lynnwood Food Bank. Tri-M is a national Music Honor Society. Our chapter at LHS was established in 2012 and has centered around community service. Despite the pandemic, the Lynnwood High School Tri-M Club donated $9,700 to The Lynnwood Foodbank!

As we have thought about our service pre-pandemic, doing anything this year seemed impossible. For months we debated if we should try anything at all. We are so glad that we ignored our doubts and moved ahead. While so many have endured significant hardships, we never imagined that we would raise as much as we did. Our community embraced this project. Between the money that we collected online, and money sent directly to The Lynnwood Food Bank, we raised $9,700!

In all, 125 donations were made ranging from $5 to $1,000. We are sincerely appreciative of every single one. When talking to the students we discussed how there were no small donations. Each donation was part of this significant total, and part of our significant legacy of giving over the past nine years.

In the last nine years the Lynnwood High School Tri-M has donated over $38,000 to the Lynnwood Food Bank! (As well as over 68,000 food items and 21,000 diapers.)

We are so proud of our students and the way they are handling this challenging time. They are selfless and determined to continue their legacy of giving,

We know that if it looks different than usual, we can count on our community to support whatever we can do.
