My husband and I taught in the Marysville School District for 30 years after graduating from Whitworth University in Spokane. Some years weren’t so awesome due to levy and bond failures.
It’s high time that the voters do something about our present school situation in Marysville. I totally agree with Laura Murril and Scott Jenkins who both recently wrote letters to the editor in support of the necessary important bond here in this city. Our chance to vote is coming right up as we’ll be receiving our ballots very very soon.
Our fine school board, citizens committees, administrators, the Marysville Education Association, and many many citizens do realize that this bond will alleviate the problems in many of our schools. Our students don’t need mediocre; our future leaders deserve and need the very best during their school years here in Marysville.
Many of you and I are hoping for many many yes votes way before the April 26 ballot due date.
Hurray for the exemplary Marysville School District that truly cares. Thank you, Superintendent Becky Berg for your outstanding work and care at the helm of the Marysville School District.
