I just finished a drive to New York, Maryland, and back to Everett. It was obvious that drivers were much more civilized on the toll roads I used in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. As soon as the toll roads reverted back to freeways, the aggressive driving returned. I suspect the reason is that the drivers have to stop at a toll booth before they exit, or because they are identified by the “quick pass”system.
I suggest that a toll road be built from Centralia to Canada. I would be happy to pay four bucks to avoid going through Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia. Most truckers would be happy to pay much more.
