Must address record debt under Obama

The continuing outcry and activities of those from the far left and their media affiliations are either engaging in, or supporting, anarchy. They will accept nothing less than not only continuing, but also adding, to the socialist policies that have been established by the current administration. This administration has added over $9 trillion to the national debt, which is equal to the combined amount of the previous 43 administrations. This expenditure is in addition to all the tax revenue generated in this eight-year period.

Any rational person understands that this level of spending cannot continue for any length of time before the economy experiences a total collapse. The question that should be considered is what additions to the infrastructure, or other permanent aspects of the nation, were realized as a result of this level of spending? As per a recently published cartoon, some would point to the bailout of the auto industry; however, we were told that this money had been paid back, so this not a legitimate expenditure. How many roads, bridges, dams and other permanent structures resulted from the promised “shovel ready” jobs? Have we so quickly forgotten the smirks of Obama and Biden as they admitted that there were no “shovel ready” jobs? It is time that we wake up and accept the fact that people are entitled to opportunity in order to be self-reliant and personally responsible. The government of this nation was not set up to be one’s personal piggy bank, providing care from cradle to grave.
