Neither party showing leadership on fossil fuels

On the heals of the Mar-a-Lago gathering — where 20 elite oil executives including Gov. Doug Burgum from North Dakota; by Harold Hamm who has a net worth of more than $49 billions in the oil industry, were asked to provide the Trump campaign $1 billion in contributions — is this outright effrontery to the disaster they greedily promote, now confirmed over and over again by the Observatory in Hawaii report of the build up of carbon dixoide.

The Washington Post should name, and inform the public of the vast profits raked in annually by the oil producers from drilling to market. No wonder our gasoline prices are so high. Yes, Washington state has one of the highest gas taxes, but itrefuses to tax the rich. More and more the rich get protection from the government, both state and national. More and more the media try to avoid the truth. More and more the voters support both parties protecting major oil greed.

Biden quietly approved the Willow oil-drilling project in Alaska. Trump even promises to eliminate off-shore wind farms. It appears our parties are the problem run by the rich. And you think the problems are all about homelessness, abortion and medical care?
