Regarding the article, “Damage claims filed against county in Marysville accident that killed teen”: The claim against the county for injuries sustained in an auto accident on 108th is unfounded.
Every time a teenager makes a mistake must the rest of us pay for it?
We are so sorry for the tragic death and injuries these teenagers sustained, as we have had our children travel that road for over 18 years, and more as adults.
If a driver cannot control a car at 35 mph, they should not be driving. All of us have been there. Did they take their eyes off the road, were they laughing and having a good time? Did the passengers think to control the atmosphere in the car? It is all about education, parents, and even if you educate, your children are going to make mistakes. The best thing that can come of this is for the injured parties to educate their peers about driving.
Do you think that changing the speed limit is going to prevent some other person from making a mistake? Come on, people, don’t make the rest of us pay. Lately, every time some person dies on the highway, someone else must pay, even if it is not their fault. Why is it in this day and age that people always look to someone else for their errors in judgment?!
