No reality or legitimacy

Freedom County only exists in the minds of a few misguided folks. The truth is that, unfortunately, the state’s constitution has never made it clear how to form a new county. Perhaps this is because the state’s founding fathers never anticipated the Yugoslavian approach to government – that is, keep breaking up your government into smaller and smaller entities until a dictator can take over. I will never recognize as legitimate a government that is headed by a person who claims they were elected county commissioner on a bus ride to Olympia. Beyond laughable, there is nothing legal about such an election.

The only fair, democratic and legitimate way to form a new county should be a majority vote by the people in the area involved. If that ever happens, then and only then will Freedom County truly exist.
