After spending almost 74 years on planet Earth I never cease to be amazed at what is going on in our country today. I recently read that President Obama has enacted the Dream Act by executive order. The Dream Act is opposed by a majority of the American people and was twice defeated in Congress. The
Dream Act grants amnesty to any illegal aliens residing in the U.S. if they agree to enlist in the military, enter college or are pregnant or nursing.
If they are in college they are probably receiving a full ride at the taxpayer’s expense. President Obama has also instructed immigration and customs agents to use “prosecutorial discretion” when enforcing immigration laws. The ICE director says the administration’s policy directs border patrol agents not to enforce immigration laws by not asserting the full scope of the enforcement available to the agency. This really means they have been instructed not to enforce the laws at all.
You don’t have to tell this to Arizona, which has had a running battle with the Obama administration for years. The latest thing in this regard is where the Department of Justice under Eric Holder has blocked Arizona from enforcing its voter ID law. Arizona is one of the biggest points of entry for illegal immigrants and they are trying to stop voter fraud by requiring proof of citizenship to register and vote in their state.
First we have amnesty passed by executive order, deportations of 300,000 illegals slowed to a halt while each case is reviewed in detail by ICE and now blocking the voter ID laws in Arizona. Come on, folks, let’s not mince words and face the fact that the Democrats’ motive in all of this is votes from the Hispanic community in the 2012 presidential election.
