Regarding the recent article, “NASCAR site packed”: I am furious about what our leader in Marysville, Mayor Dennis Kendall, had to say about how many people live so close to the proposed NASCAR site. His statement of “very, very interesting” goes to show that officials didn’t do one iota of research before they selected the North Marysville site.
I also live in the Berry Farm neighborhood with my fianc. We are first time home buyers and don’t want to see a monstrosity across the street from our house, possibly lowering the value of our property and making it impossible to move on to bigger and better things. It is becoming more and more apparent that the city of Marysville and the Snohomish County Council don’t care about the people they represent. If they did, we wouldn’t be in the predicament we are in now. Do us all a favor and think about the citizens first, then withdraw the proposal from International Speedway Corp.
