I just wanted to share a few ideas.
For the PUD penny-pinching program: How about taking one person off each repair and maintenance crew? I’m sure neither the shovels or the trucks will float off into space without being guarded.
Traffic congestion: Stop building new apartment and housing developments. There is not a housing shortage nor is there an apartment shortage. At least stop until our representatives figure out how to keep traffic moving with the population that is already here, preferably with the massive amount of taxes that we are already paying.
Jail and prison locations: Build these in the backyards of the people who are anti-death penalty or believe in rehabilitation. My deepest sympathies to Deputy Herzog’s family.
Lastly, I have no objection to taking the words “under God” out of the pledge of allegiance. They were not in the original version, and the pledge is to our flag and our country, not God.
