Pelosi is showing her true colors

I see Nancy Pelosi got her head handed to her in her first try as Speaker. Considering she has said this would be the most ethical Congress in history, does anyone wonder why she would try to get John Murtha, you know him from Abscam don’t you? Where he told undercover agents who were offering him a bribe, “Not at this time, but if we do business for a while, who knows.” Why wasn’t he prosecuted? Well, good old Tip O’Neil intervened and it just went away. In his home state, he is called King of Pork and has the record for most earmarks – you know, those things only Republicans do. And even though the press describes him as a war hero, according to Marine records, he never fired a shot in combat.

Then her next great misstep. Instead of appointing Jane Harman of California as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who is actually a pretty sensible person, she appoints a de-frocked former judge who has such poor security clearance, as of now, he can’t attend meetings. She wants him to chair.

This is the same Nancy Pelosi who worries about the “working families.” (Her personal wealth exceeds $55 million.) She worries so much that her and her husband’s two wineries, posh hotel, golf course and numerous restaurants, don’t hire one union employee! Even considering the huge amounts they send to her regularly. During wine harvesting, do you think there could be any illegal workers working there? Nah! She’s too ethical.

Sometimes, you have to be careful what you wish for.
