Please, no flashing lights promoting soup

Avenue “D” may soon stand for “dumb” if shop owners continue to follow the selfish lead of the new Hub Drive-In by installing digital reader boards near the roof line of their buildings. These are the signs of flashing lights promoting the tomato soup special along with the owner’s short sightedness. For this reader, these digital signs advertise our city’s need for sensible design review standards to encourage a future of good taste and long term economic growth for Avenue D and all of Snohomish.
