I am a World War II veteran who was dismayed to read Scott North’s article in The Herald about the trouble American Legion Post 6 has endured with its missing funds. This must be a blow to the heart as well as to the pocketbook.
I am now applying for membership in Post 6 and hope other non-member service vets will also apply. This service organization has performed with honor and unselfishness in our community for many years. Let us now step up to the plate.
