Flag burning is not the spoken word nor is it the written or printed word. It, therefore, is not a protected constitutional right.
It is an act, the burning in effigy of all that is represented by the flag, especially those who have fought for, bled for and died for the creation and preservation of our nation.
Those red stripes represent the blood of sacrifice from those who have given their all so that we may enjoy the freedom that we cherish.
We must honor and protect the memory of those noble and free men and women.
We can do that by honoring and protecting the symbol of their great sacrifice, the flag of this great nation.
