I am responding to the recent letters regarding inclusion of “The Buzz” on your front page. It seems unprofessional to include such a satirical, humorous, tongue-in-cheek viewpoint on the front page on a regular basis, not to mention the fact that the writer is usually insulting and/or rude to the subjects of his column.
I doubt you would find this type of writing on the front page of respectable newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal, USA Today or the New York Times, therefore I think it is not appropriate on the front page of other reputable newspapers. Most of the people who have claimed to be entertained by it state they value the column for its comic relief. So why not include it on the page with the rest of the comic strips? Then everyone will be happy!
