Regarding the Sunday letter, “Seahawks QB was out of line”:
The letter writer was upset that Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and Mack Strong presented a Seattle Seahawks jersey to President Bush.
She stated that “this was a totally partisan Republican political event and it was obviously supported by the Seahawks.” She even went as far as stating the gesture “smacks of team sanction and partisanship.”
Actually, what it looks like to me is that Matt or Mack went online to the Seahawks Web site and purchased an “official” jersey for $290 and had President Bush’s name imprinted on it.
Too bad the writer has a problem with a person having a political opinion that might differ from hers.
