I’m concerned at the limited coverage of reasons for DUI.
On July 18, The Herald reported of a driver who tested 54 times the legal limit of THC left several questions. Presuming that the blood test was accurate leaves me with three questions.
Were there other compounds in the blood sample that would lead to a DUI?
If he were impaired by only THC, how was he still awake? That much should have put him in a semi-comatose state.
Why is this becoming a trend to show only marijuana and THC when so many other compounds are usually at work?
If I’m sounding suspicious, it’s because I am. I suspect that this is just one more situation where a media is working to modify public opinion with select information and wording.
