Well, it must be that time of year, the “season of unreason” as candidates running for office across the country eagerly take credit for just about everything – including the sun coming up. One local candidate, Kevin Quigley, continues to “crow” about the jobs he’s personally created here in Snohomish County. Well, folks, it’s time you heard the rest of the story.
In my opinion, only one candidate for Snohomish County executive can truly take credit for creating jobs and that’s Sen. Aaron Reardon.
During his time in the House and Senate, Aaron has worked nonstop to create the kind of economic climate that will preserve and create new family wage jobs in this community. He has fought tirelessly to gain capital budget money for our colleges and public facilities. And this year Aaron was the leader in our county’s effort to find a way to keep Boeing jobs.
As a member of our local delegation in Olympia he’s worked to secure millions of dollars in transportation funds for roads, transit and ferries. Most importantly, it was Aaron’s work in Olympia that brought our tax dollars home to protect jobs and keep a failing shipyard afloat.
Aaron Reardon delivered at a time we needed it most. It has been an honor for me to fight together with Aaron Reardon to build our economy and protect our unique quality of life. I’m proud to serve with him and proud to support him for Snohomish County executive.
