I have received for the second time, a red light ticket for supposedly turning right on red without stopping. Both times, there is no proof that I did not stop other than the seconds on the camera, and both times, I did stop before turning right. I always stop before turning on red and I never run red lights. Is there a five-second rule in Lynnwood that everyone else does not know about? I have been driving for over 34 years and have never had a ticket or an accident. How many of you and your readers can say that? Does that not indicate someone that must drive carefully and defensively?

I wrote and complained about both, but of course, as everyone knows, they never completely remove the entire amount of the infraction, only reduce it. How is that fair?

The city of Lynnwood may be making a heck of a lot of money from this, but I can tell you one thing, they are losing the business of everyone who does not live there that gets hit with these. I have to drive my kids there sometimes for Northwest Nationals Soccer training, but as soon as I can pull them off of that team, I will. I will also never shop there again. The residents of Lynnwood need to figure out, is it worth it?
