Reinterpreting Constitution

Vice President Al Gore wants all of us to belong to a national healthcare system. He will implement it incrementally starting with children and the elderly.

Ten years ago, 55 companies offered individual health insurance policies in our state. Only two do now. This was due to our state’s over-regulation of insurance policies. The companies pulled out one by one until this year when regulations were decreased.

Over-management of health care leaves no individual coverage available, leaving us at the mercy of a state or federal plan. Our only recourse for change will be through lobbyists.

Gore has said he wants government funding for elections. The people who run the government would be in control of funding their own elections from our wallets. We would find their interests in competition with our own and they’d control our ability to challenge them.

Gore has said the Constitution is a living, breathing document, changing with time. Our Supreme Court justices are there to bring new meaning to it. George W. Bush said it was constructed with certain meaning and does not change (except through the amendment process described within). You may feel comfortable with Gore’s vision now, but the rights given today can disappear for your children tomorrow unless we appoint judges that hold the Constitution as sacred, to be amended only by the people, not redefined by a panel.

Please vote for George W. Bush, John Carlson and John Koster. They will fight to keep your liberties, your freedom to choose regarding healthcare plans, education, retirement and planing for your own future. The Democrats are trying to centralize these things and limit your choices in every part of your life except, of course, unrestricted abortion.
