Renters don’t need supervision

Regarding the Tuesday article, “Everett may inspect rentals”:

Yessir, renters are a shifty, lazy, dirty lot. That is why they rent and don’t own. They need constant supervision to keep the rest of us safe. They don’t pay property taxes and you wouldn’t want your daughter to marry one. Anyone who would rent to one is not much better. Those people need government supervision above and beyond the Landlord Tenant Relations act, and we need to keep a better handle on the lowlife lifestyles for their own good.

How patronizing!

In fairness, homeowners should agree to re-certify their dwellings with the same inspectors. Just peek down the alleys and side streets of Everett and the county to see enough code violations to send the council to Vegas for the next century. How about a little fairness?
