In Monday’s two-page advertising section, “Salute to Women of Snohomish County,” there were no Tulalip women or any minorities listed! Don’t we count?
The vice-chairman and general manager of Tulalip Tribes, the superintendent of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, located in Everett, are all Native American women, who we are very proud of.
We also have a number of tribal women who own their own businesses.
My husband and great grandson have been customers of “Anne’s,” a hair-cutting and styling business, in south Everett, owned by an Asian woman for five or more years. She works seven days a week, including holidays, cutting and styling hair. She is a great asset to Snohomish County.
My point is that when “Saluting Snohomish County Woman,” your paper needs to realize the county is very diversified, not like it was 20 years ago.
