Sen. Murray protecting veterans’ services

Thanks to Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., for speaking out against the Trump-Musk administration’s draconian cuts to veterans’ services (“Rescinded federal spending memo left officials scrambling in Snohomish County,” The Herald, Jan. 29).

Veterans have sacrificed for our country, and they deserve our gratitude and the services they were promised. It’s unacceptable for staff reductions to lead to delays in their health care, delays in their disability claims processing, and delays in answers to calls to the Veterans Crisis Line.
