Regarding the Tuesday letter “Historical errors on recent kids page”:
Seneca Falls, N.Y., is not located on the Erie Canal. The Seneca River runs through Seneca Falls. Although markers denote where it once was a thriving waterway, the Erie Canal is for the most part a dry bed. Syracuse, N.Y., is home to the Erie Canal Museum.
And for the record there is a Seneca, N.Y., which is now known as West Seneca. Just a couple of corrections from someone who grew up in the Finger Lakes.
