I read with interest the front page story about Sheriff Adam Fortney’s convoluted questioning of crime statistics and his feeble excuses for not generating annual reports (“Sheriff: Years of crime data ‘inaccurate,’” The Herald, July 10).
It became quite clear that the only thing Fortney is transparent about is his desire for self-promotion.
