Should I renew my Herald subscription?

Herald subscription

Reasons for not renewing

Well, it’s time to renew my subscription to The Herald and I am always faced with the question: “Should I, or shouldn’t I?” There are several reasons why I shouldn’t.

1. Content: The Herald continues to have less and less meaningful content. I can read every word of the daily paper (including ads) in ten minutes or less and most news is at least 24 hours old. This is especially true with the sports coverage or lack thereof.

2. The Herald (as is the case for most newspapers around the country) continues to report the news with a liberal (progressive?) slant to everything. Seldom are both sides of any major issue presented. The mainstream media continues to prop up a clearly mentally unstable president and his incompetent administration and the damage they are doing to our country and the continuing attack on the middle class and nary a word about this calamity.

The editorial page is mostly made up of divisive and hateful articles by the likes of Tom Burke, Eugene Robinson and Sid Schwab, who can’t seem to let go of the past because the future looks so bleak under the rule of the Democrats. Seldom are conservative views presented and often readers’ letters to editor are preempted to make room for these left-wing contributors.

3. Last but not least, my newspaper has not been delivered at least seven times in the last few months.

So, back to my original question: “Should I, or shouldn’t I?”
