Sid Schwab is writing the truth: Trump is bad!

For a decade now, I have been subjected to a near-monthly letters from two particular authors. They write in to the editor bombarding us with tired old defenses of Donald Trump. Accusing the left of “insanity,” lunacy (Isn’t that the same thing?) and columnist Sid Schwab of being obsessed with saying “Trump is bad.”

Well, Trump is bad. And the authors consistently claim the high moral ground while defending a truly immoral person.

For example: Trump has been recorded on videotape bragging about molesting women. We all saw it. Trump is bad. He has touted himself as a highly successful businessman, yet he has declared bankruptcy multiple times, leaving legions of creditors in financial ruin. Trump is bad! He has been convicted by a jury of 34 counts of financial fraud, dodging taxes and thereby forcing others to pay his share. Trump is bad. He lies consistently and makes up nasty nicknames for anyone who dares to call him on it. Trump is bad.

Trump has taken literally dozens of boxes of government documents, many of them classified, and attempted to hide them from investigators. One author says he’s a veteran. Well, so am I. I was a linguist in the Army Security Agency, dealing with classified documents on a daily basis, and I’m here to remind him that TOP SECRET means just that. Not to be shared with civilians. So yes, Trump is bad!

Sid Schwab does write about other things, but please try to understand: His unprecedented focus on Donald Trump is because of Trump’s unprecedented behavior. I don’t think his “obsessive” writing is all that different from the authors’ constant untethered defense of this tragically flawed man.
