I see that our duly elected legislators have once again failed to do the job they campaigned so fervently to obtain. Each of them said that they would “get things done” and would “fight for us.” Really! Once again, we, the folks who pay the bills, are going to be funding yet another special session because they could not “get things done.” They had plenty of time to remove all traces of the word male or man from state lexicon, but the budget was just so hard that they need more time, and money, to accomplish. I would remind each of these “get things done” folks that they asked for this part time job and each of them knew full well what it entailed.
Yet we keep sending them back to fail over and over again. If we fired each and every one of them, we could not possibly be worse off than we are right now.
