Some kids got more tricks than treats

This Halloween my 4-year-old daughter wanted to go trick-or-treating with her best friend, who is also 4. Her mother invited us to go trick-or-treating in one of the safest neighborhoods in Everett, in my opinion – around the area of 6th and Rucker to 8th and Hoyt in north Everett.

At 6:30 p.m. we saw nothing but small children and families out having a great time. While we were walking down the street we witnessed two trucks and a sports car come racing down Rucker going about 40 mph, throwing eggs at families. I couldn’t believe it. What kind of person would throw eggs at innocent children?

We decided it would be best to head back home, and as we were going back, they were coming back down the street and pelted an innocent woman in the face who had kids next to her. My child was absolutely frightened and wanted to be carried the rest of the way home. It was a horrible event for both kids. I don’t know if these people were even caught and I doubt they are intelligent enough to read the paper. But I wanted to put this letter in the paper so in case a parent or a friend knows who did this they can see what type of people they are. Someone who thinks it’s funny to throw eggs at 4-year-old children is sick and deserves a lot more punishment than they will probably get! I hope someone puts them in their place.
