St. Clair best choice for Island Council commissioner

Both candidates in the Island County commissioner race claim they’ll represent me, but only one truly will. As the executive director of Island County Sound Water Stewards, Janet St. Clair has listened to my concerns and has worked to seek solutions to maintain and improve our quality of life in Island County. This gives me confidence that Janet will be a commissioner who will value my citizen input and strive to address community concerns.

Janet has the skills necessary for a county commissioner. She has the administrative leadership skills from her previous work experiences. She also has the necessary interpersonal skills to be an elected official. Janet is approachable, accountable and personable. Her leadership on Camano and Whidbey islands demonstrates her ability to work with people on all sides of an issue to achieve results.

What I like about Janet is her eagerness to address the problems the county faces by researching and understanding the facts and her willingness to do something about them. She will look at problems from a well-rounded perspective and evaluate the issues to find solutions.

Janet St. Clair deserves our vote to represent us as our Island County commissioner. She knows how to get things done. This gives me confidence our quality of life in Island County will continue.
