My former Democratic brethren are at it again. The loony left wing of the party seems to be holding sway again, trying to force candidates who don’t pass their progressive litmus tests out of the race. First Mark Roe as prosecutor, then Steve Hobbs as state senator.
They just don’t seem to understand they are doing the same things the Republicans are — driving the party so far out to the extremes that anyone who is a moderate or a pragmatist is marginalized. It’s the perfect recipe for losing next fall — their hubris is going to alienate those voters in the center who make the difference in elections.
