Stevens Hospital staff went beyond call of duty

Being from Arizona, I’d like the people in the Edmonds area to know they have a wonderful hospital named Stevens that is staffed with exceptional personnel.

I arrived in the Seattle area on Sept. 2 for a vacation and my son’s wedding. The next day, I became very ill and had significant surgery at Stevens Hospital on the following day. I returned home to Prescott, Ariz., on Sept. 26 to continue my recovery.

I’m completely convinced that I would not have survived the complicated surgery were it not for the dedicated and professional staff at Stevens. The ICU and PCU personnel were very caring and did everything they could to help me through a very difficult time in my life. They performed far beyond the call of duty. I will never forget how kind they were to me, a grumpy old man.

I owe my life to the many medical professionals who work with and for Stevens Hospital. Many, many thanks to all of them.
