The American people need a wake-up call regarding the proposed oil and gas leasing of our north slope areas. We need to stop Interior Department plans to lease to any foreign oil company. After all, this resource belongs to the American people, and the huge profits derived from crude oil should be ours, not British Petroleum’s, Shell’s or any other foreign company’s. Take a look at right now. We are paying high prices to foreign companies for our north slope crude oil.
