Stop the hate, cap campaign spending

I’ve been very outspoken against Barack Obama. I agree with very few of his positions. But he’s now our president and I accept that. Enough of the hate. For the last eight years there has been a tremendous amount of hatred aimed at George Bush. I believe it started with what people believe was his unfair first election (it wasn’t). I will give Barack Obama a chance. I will never hate. I’ll leave that for the other side.

I really hope for our country he does well. I have two sons in the military, one in Iraq as I write this, so I have an extra couple stakes in his doing well. You will never see me on an overpass calling for Barack Obama’s impeachment, no matter what he does. The majority have spoken and elected Barack Obama. I don’t have to like it, but I don’t choose to go nuts with hating, etc.

Let’s debate policy when necessary and leave personality out of it. John McCain is a good man and also would have made a good president. He was outspent 3-to-1 and had virtually all the media in the tank for Obama. It was a miracle he came as close as he did. Let’s hope next election there will be an equal cap on money allowed to be spent on a campaign by each. Buying elections is not very democratic. Let’s hope the media will get back to doing an unbiased job of reporting the news. Barack Obama is our next president, wish him the best.
