Thank you for putting the story about Pastor Levi Larson’s birthday on the front page. (Tuesday article, “Each day is a gift.”) Far too many people have forgotten about God and the Bible. Not long ago the pope said that in this technological age many feel we no longer need God. His Word is still the same. Our world’s many problems could be avoided if we would only abide by God’s word and His laws.
I also enjoy seeing the scripture in the features section entitled “Strength For These Days.” That says it all. I think it should be on the front page every day.
I also want to comment on the Christmas tree fiasco at Sea-Tac Airport. The Christmas tree is not a religious symbol of Jesus’ birth so removing them was ridiculous. One more thing: Christmas is a holy day, not a holiday. It is the second most important holy day in Christianity second only to Easter, when believers celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, God’s gift to all mankind. My prayer is that everyone would plan a time to worship our Creator and be open to learning what His plan is for your life.
