The Lake Stevens Library provides our community with programs that encourage lifelong learning for people of all ages. As a community it is important to support both measures set before us on the Feb. 14 ballot.
It is up to us to ensure that children’s story times have a space within the library facility. This brings the children closer to the books that will encourage engagement in their own education and enrich the future citizens of our community.
It is up to us ensure that our young adults have a place to learn new skills whether it be robotics, creative writing, upcycling or crafts. This is a time in their lives when exploring new endeavors can help guide them in their decisions about the future they will create for themselves.
It is up to us to ensure that adults have a place to gather and talk about issues that matter, or take a class to learn a skill they have had an interest in; we never stop learning.
Our library struggles to provide adequate space for most of the programs offered to the community, it is not uncommon for a library patron to be turned away when trying to attend a program due to lack of space. A new larger library would help to allow programs to be accessible to every lifelong learner in our community. Please vote yes twice on Feb. 14 to support lifelong learning in the Lake Stevens community.
