President Trump continues to call the news media liars. Any news report that paints him in a less-than-stellar light is “fake news.” He says the news media is the enemy. It might be funny if he wasn’t our president. With all the lies he has told, both important and insignificant, it is crazy that he has the gall to call other individuals and a whole industry dishonest. He is much less honest than most major news outlets. He is more akin to the supermarket tabloids.
But I am not surprised. In the primaries Mr. Trump continually called Sen. Cruz “Lyin’ Ted.” He said he would release his taxes if he became the Republican candidate. We’re still waiting. After he became our Liar-in-Chief, he lied about the “millions of illegal votes,” the mess he inherited, how the media lies to make him look bad, and on and on.
This is the man who leads our country. Why does he feel the need to lie so often? The whole world looks on with a combination of amazement, shock and ridicule. It’s a sad time for America.
