Term ‘jackals’ should be used for Saddam

This letter concerns the unworthy attack on the character and honor of President George Bush (not Mr. George Bush) and his advisers! The term “jackals” should be reserved for those foolish anti-war ingrates (“Iraqi war deaths: U.S. supporters are as guilty as Bush,” June 18). Those many overwhelming number of Americans, counting myself, should be blessed and praised for backing President George Bush and allies.

There are bound to be civilian losses in any war of liberation. There is no intent to inflict that upon innocents as a policy!

The letter writer should have reserved the title of “jackal” for Saddam Hussein and his ilk!
