Thankful for support

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Cascade High Marching Band and Color Guard Boosters to thank everyone living in the Everett community who has donated either their time or money to help raise the needed funds for new uniforms for the Cascade High School Marching Band. Community support such as this goes a long way to build the confidence needed to making an exceptional marching band that represents Everett, the state of Washington and sometimes the United States while performing their shows. The booster organization still has a long way to go before reaching its goal of $72,000, but we feel confident this goal will be reached.

I would also like to thank Andrew Wineke for his article on Oct. 22, “The Big Parade,” which featured the Cascade High Marching Band and Color Guard. It was a pleasure to read something in the newspaper that had positive words to say about high school students. More high school groups should get this sort of media attention. Many students dedicate their high school careers to good causes with exceptional results and should be recognized for this. Thanks again to Mr. Wineke for a job well done!
