Speaking on behalf of our neighbors and friends in the Fir Grove community and in memory of Grace Pelkey, we would like to thank the thousands of families and individuals, throughout the area, who came through the neighborhood during the holidays. The outpouring of generosity by donating food and financial support was a very heart-warming act by the countless number of people who dropped off their donations as they enjoyed the joy of Christmas lights.
Because of everyone’s generosity and the long-time partnership between the Fir Grove neighborhood and Volunteers of America Western Washington, over 6,500 pounds of food was donated and more than $4,900 in cash donations were dropped off as everyone enjoyed the beautiful decorations of over two dozen of our neighbors homes and more than 150,000 lights.
Over the years the Fir Grove neighborhood has really enjoyed decorating our homes as it brings a lot of joy and good feelings to the folks who drive through.
Thanks to all of you for allowing us to share the Christmas spirit.
