Thanks to Jubie family for yard sale benefit

On behalf of the Marysville Community Food Bank, I want to express our sincere appreciation to the Jubie family for the yard sale they conducted to benefit the food bank. The sale generated more than $23,500, which will be used to purchase food items to feed the hungry, needy and homeless in our community during the holiday season.

We know that family members contributed hundreds of hours of back-breaking work to make the sale such a huge success. Several family members also contributed substantial amounts of money from their own pockets. They had set a goal of $20,000 and it shows the dedication of a family and friends who want to help the community and heal their grief. These efforts are in memory of their sister, Gail, who was killed by an intruder some five years ago.

We are very fortunate to be the recipient of the Jubies’ kindness and generosity. Those who benefit this holiday season will most certainly recognize that they too are fortunate to live in a community supported by the unselfishness and generosity shown by the Jubie family.
