Sometimes I wonder if the people running this country are idiots or whether they have just completely lost touch with the people.
This idea of fining people with no health insurance is crazy. Don’t they realize that the reason people have no health insurance is because they have no money to pay for it?
There are many Americans having to decide whether to buy clothes for their kids or food. Do they pay for heat or water? Do they go to the dentist because they are living in constant pain or buy glasses for their daughter who can’t see without them?
Has this country gotten to the point where being poor is a crime? Maybe we should load up all our poor and huddled masses, load them on a ship and send them somewhere else so this elitist country won’t have to be burdened with them. Here is a better idea: The aristocracy of this country should be reminded where this country came from and what has made it great. Then maybe they could be encouraged to find a way to actually help the poor rather than hurt them with fines and greater burdens piled on top of the overwhelming load they already carry. Placing a fine on people too poor to afford health insurance is the most cruel and ridiculous idea I have ever heard. If you agree, then maybe we should all be writing our legislators and telling them so.
