Their management team is misguided

I am writing in response to the article regarding Community Transit switching from in-house security to the sheriff’s department (Nov. 12 “CT may switch security service”). I agree with Councilman Jeff Sax completely when he states, “I’m not certain this is good management.”

From what I know, this is the same management team, who due to incompetence, does not have an operating camera system at Ash Way Park &Ride. This is the same management team that has spent years and hundreds of thousands of dollars on a radio system that by all accounts is worse off than the system it replaced. This is the same management team that spends such an enormous amount of money on outside consultants that it makes the PUD and Seattle City Light look like they’re spending play money.

How can such a misguided management team make a critical decision of switching in-house security to the sheriff department when it hasn’t shown good judgment with the current money and resources. As everyone knows, except apparently CT management, the sheriff’s department is already obligated to respond to calls. Why pay the deputies’ salaries twice?
