I have known Tim Bond for over six years. In all my dealings with him, he has been an honest and caring person.
Tim is running for council position 4 in Marysville. He has no special interest backing him in his campaign, only a desire to serve the community and represent the average citizen on the city council. He desires to encourage citizen participation to make the city government more responsive, accessible and accountable to the community.
Some of the things Tim would like to see include sidewalks within a square mile of schools so that students do not have to walk on the side of the road while cars go by at 30 to 40 mph. Developers should pay their fair share so the city does not raise rates. (Apparently our water, sewer and garbage bills will be going up in January.) He wants to preserve our environment along with increased parks, recreational facilities and green belts.
Tim would also like to attract a two- or four-year college to Marysville. It is no secret that there is a demand for a four-year college somewhere between the University of Washington and Western Washington University in Bellingham.
A vote for Tim Bond would bring a wonderful independent person to Marysville’s city council. Whatever your choice, please vote on Nov. 6.
