Regarding the article, “MP shooter’s father arrested on firearms charge”: With the tragic event on Oct. 24, there are new questions of blame; the father who was barred from firearm possession; the Tribal court for not forwarding the protection order which would have prevented Raymond Lee Fryberg Jr. from purchasing firearms. Would this have prevented Jaylen Fryberg’s actions? Probably not, children are very resilient, perhaps he would’ve found other means. Without putting blame on anybody or event, would have, should have, could have, what has happened cannot be reversed. Now the decision has been made to replace the cafeteria at a price tag of around $5 million dollars. Wouldn’t it be a noble gesture for the Tulalip Tribe to flip for the new cafeteria?
