I’m a visitor here, but can’t help comment on a letter in Wednesday’s Herald regarding an 83,000-seat race track, (“Sooner rationing starts, the better”). The letter writer used the words “gas guzzling.”
While I am definitely against gas-guzzling vehicles, I just want to point out that the trend in the auto-racing industry is toward ethanol-consuming race cars. The Indy 500 next year will feature only that type of fuel in its cars. I presume NASCAR will do so soon also.
