‘Cadillac’ choices don’t drive market

For years, I used a combination squeegee and ice scraper on a stick to clean my car windows. I need to replace it this year.

I cannot find one!

I searched several stores (Freddy’s, Target, Sears, and Schucks) and all they were offering was a fancy, expensive one. It was called “the Cadillac” version by one salesperson. It was plastic, with a telescoping handle, and included a snow brush and cost at least three times what the old style would cost. I did not buy one.

Not everyone needs, wants, or can afford a Cadillac. Sales might increase if merchants stocked simple, long-lasting, and effective tools for the rest of us.
