In a recent letter to the editor regarding Christians and Donald Trump, the writer states “I have no trouble voting for Trump” because “why would I blindly put my faith in a media that has been relentless in berating Trum?”
I would respond that blind faith is not needed. Listen to what Trump himself says and read what he posts on his Truth Social app. He is unapologetic in supporting theocracy, “A Christian Nation,” so, yes he does “dare to advocate a theocracy”; a position the letter writer states Trump would not support. And Trump is unapologetic in verbalizing his disgust for the poor, disabled and also anyone who is not white coming into the country. So, yes. If you believe in the teachings of Jesus and support Trump you are (as the original letter posited) a hypocrit.
Listen to what Trump himself says. He means it.
