TSA’s latest move lacks all logic

Would someone please explain to me why knives with 2.36” blades are now considered “safe” on airplanes, when the 9/11 terrorists did their dirty work using box cutters which, at their maximum extension, have a blade length of less than one inch (0.9” to be exact)? And why would anyone need to carry on a pool cue, a hockey stick or golf clubs? Which planet do the TSA managers live on?
