‘Ugly American’ a phrase for a reason

Regarding the Friday letters in response to the Thursday letter, “Cheap shots not humorous at all”: I am a Canadian citizen who has lived in the U.S. for the last 56 years, probably longer than either of the writers and I take offense at their “rude” letters. Unless you are native American, you can go back to where you came from as well. It was not necessary to be rude to the letter writer since she was just voicing her opinion.

Sometimes the “ugly American” fits, eh?
